Introducing Dart

Dart is a short animated film that I am working on for school. At the moment it is a combination of 3d and 2d elements with 2d animation. Our goal this semester is to get the first segment fleshed out as much as possible. I am the environmental director for this project. It's my job to combine all the environmental assets into a cohesive whole. This is a screenshot of one of the camera shots. It's just a screengrab, not a full render, as we do not yet have the segment completely lit.

Beginnings

I am a serious believer in the idea that everything happens for a reason. Our lives are filled with a series of events - some unfortunate, but some quite amazing. And I know that events are Not Just Happenstance. Every little twist, bend, or stretch moves us forward in discovering who we are and why we're here. The choices we make define us. How we deal with tragedy, triumph, and even normalcy shape our entire existence.

And, so here I am - making one more step to becoming who I want to be and defining why I want to be where I'm trying to be.

My name is Brittany Peterson and this is my personal blog/working portfolio. I'm currently a student studying animation at Utah Valley University. When I graduate my goal is to work at a game studio as an environmental artist - at least that's the plan. We'll see how those twists and turns affect the outcome of my choices.
